realstart fails, or $REALROOT/bin/… files not found messages being seen

This could indicate that the "build" option was not taken when UNIX setup was run.

The initial load of Reality only installs files and scripts, all executables are built onsite. Refer the Instillation Guide and follow all steps under Installation, including Loading the Reality Software, Installing UNIX-Connect and Building the Reality Executable.
