First you need to save any of your original work in the current demodb database that was built from the previous load of the Reality Demo. A FILE-SAVE or ACCOUNT-SAVE can be used to achieve this depending on what you’ve added or changed within the database.
You then need to first remove the RealWeb Demo using either Windows add/remove, or from
All Programs, Reality, RealWeb Demo, Uninstall.
Only after RealWeb demo has been removed then remove the Reality Demo using either add/remove programs, or from All Programs, Reality, Reality Demo, Uninstall… If you encounter any problems removing the old demo refer to the notes below.
You can then upgrade the system to the latest release and install the new versions of both the Reality Demo and RealWeb Demo. This can be achieved by using the [Custom] install option to update to the new release of Reality and then load the Reality and RealWeb demos manually. Alternatively you can remove Reality (using Windows add/remove or the Uninstall/Modify Default Reality as above for the demos) and then load the new release from scratch using the [Demo] install option. If you use the latter please refer to the notes below on re-registering any databases that you created manually.
Don’t forget to re-load any of your original work from the previous release. Your created accounts can be just reloaded, however, if you have modified any of the NPS delivered accounts you will need to restore these accounts using the rename option of ACCOUNT-RESTORE (C. Alternatively, if you added files to NPS accounts you can use SEL-RESTORE to reload your added files.
(Please don’t overwrite any of the NPS delivered files.)
Notes:
If you encounter any other problems when removing Reality components
