When do I need to run SYS-UPDATE

SYS-UPDATE is a Reality database command that s required to be run within all databases following updating the Reality release of a system.

SYS-UPDATE updates the commands, files and interfaces used by Reality within each database with any changes required for the newer release.

The current Installation Guide should be referred to in order to check for any specific recommendations when updating each release. All significant differences between releases are detailed in the Release Information for each new release, on the Documentation Home Page.

Note: Since V14 a new database command DBUPDATE (DBUPDATE FAQ) is now run instead of SYS-UPDATE following loading the latest updates for each release.
