Reality was the first commercial release of the MultiValue/Pick “virtual machine” and Database environment. Initially, other versions that entered the market were directly comparable in features and functions. However, over the decades each have extended in features to varying degrees or have been absorbed by other variants, leaving Reality as the original including company lineage. Following continuous development of what was to become the MultiValue market, some changes have inevitably occurred and a migration process is required.
